Silvered glass is clear float that has been treated on one side with a reflective silver coating and sprayed with a protective layer of paint.

When using silvered glass take care to prevent scratches on either surface. Some craftspeople add a layer of clear nailpolish to the edge areas of mirror when making a copper foil project to avoid chemical damage to the silvering. We also suggest using Glastar's Glasflux and cleaning or washing the panel after you've completed soldering.
