The colours here are mixed, but they are all mirrored. Silvered glass, or mirror, has been treated on one side with a reflective coating which is then sprayed with a protective layer of paint. These glasses are wonderful when used in mosaics, decorative mirror surrounds, leaded or foiled or boxes.

Care is needed not to allow scratches to occur on either surface. Some craftspeople apply a layer of clear nail polish to the edge areas of mirror.
