Brass U-channel and H-channel zinc came is used as a strengthening and reinforcing method for multi-panel leadlights.

If the window is too big to make as a single panel, the design would be divided and built in sections that could interlock for installation. On the top of the lower panel, a brass U-channel is used, and on the bottom of the panel to go above it, an H-channel zinc came is used so it can sit over the lower panel perfectly.

U-channel brass came can also be used around photo backs and in place of foil in some jewellery box designs.
