Copper restrip is a semi-rigid strip for use as an invisible structural reinforcement. It is set against the heart of the lead came, and you then sit your glass piece tight up against it, following a continuous strengthening line completely across your panel. If you are using copper foil, then the restrip will run between the foiled pieces and become soldered in. It adds rigidity to long, unsupported spans and fragile constructions subject to shock, vibration, gravity or wind.
We recommend that you incorporate this additional method of reinforcement in your lampshade edges, door and window panels.
