These hexagonal and octagonal lamps cap are made from pressed brass to suit six sided or eight sided lamp shades. A lamp cap is attached by soldering it to the top of your newly constructed shade, ensuring that it is perfectly horizontal. You can tin them, taking care not to fill the vents, and then apply the patina of choice. They have heat vents to better release heat generated by the light globe.
